virtually or in the tutoring centers at the South Bend -Elkhart Campus. This position will work with the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education and with the tutors in the Tutoring Center. In addition, this position will serve as an active member of the statewide tutoring organization.
Major Responsibilities:
• Work with the statewide tutoring organization, reporting andÂ
¾±³¾±è±ô±ð³¾±ð²Ô³Ù¾±²Ô²µÌý
• Maintain the Tutoring Center daily operations including theÂ
onboarding, scheduling, and supervision of the tutors.Â
• Oversee the communication, promotion and marketing of theÂ
Tutor Center including the Tutor Center webpage.Â
• Oversee the continuous development of resources for studentÂ
success.
• Evaluate procedures to take part in, ongoing analysis to improveÂ
student services.
• Maintain the needs of the Tutor Center, including appearance,Â
supplies, textbooks and reference materials.Â
• Supervise and support tutors who are assisting students enrolled inÂ
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ one-on-one or in small groupsÂ
following the established protocol in the Tutoring Center.Â
• Ensure the creation of a summary report for each student uponÂ
completion of a tutoring session.
• Work with faculty when necessary to ensure best possibleÂ
outcomes for students.
• Attend and participate in department meetings and bi-annualÂ
professional development.
• Provide tutoring and support to students, as needed, to ensureÂ
continuity of service in the Tutoring Center.

• Demonstrate strong customer service and/or student advocacyÂ
through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strongÂ
problem-solving and desire to identify and support studentÂ
success.
• Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in whichÂ

internal or external stakeholder, and get to the root cause of aÂ
problem, question, or issue to solve it as quickly and professionallyÂ
as possible.
Other Functions: Skills
• Should have knowledge of discipline, technologies and coachingÂ
techniques appropriate to tutoring, and tutor scheduling systems.Â
• Should have strong working knowledge of technologies required toÂ
complete administrative tasks.Â
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills areÂ
°ù±ð±ç³Ü¾±°ù±ð»å.Ìý

Compensation:$20.00/hr
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate Degree
• Experience in tutoring with adult learners and a diverseÂ
population
• Knowledge of college tutoring process
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Other Requirements: Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is a necessity.
