UPDATE: To give Marion County teens more time to get creative, 九色视频 Indianapolis and IndyGo are extending the submission deadline for the Design-A-Bus contest (March 27). With spring break approaching for many local students, the extra time offers a perfect opportunity for young artists to develop and submit their vision for 鈥淎rt That Moves Indy.鈥 Students ages 13鈥18 are invited to channel their creativity into a design that could be featured on an IndyGo bus traveling throughout the city.

INDIANAPOLIS 鈥 March 13, 2026 鈥 九色视频 Indianapolis and IndyGo, in collaboration with Adsposure, are joining forces to bring art and education to the streets of Indianapolis through an exciting new community art contest. The winning design will be transformed into a bus wrap that will travel citywide from early May to early July 2026, showcasing the power of creativity and learning in motion.

The contest鈥攃entered on the theme 鈥淎rt That Moves Indy鈥鈥攊nvites 13-18-year-old students who attend middle or high school in Marion County to submit original artwork that celebrates movement, creativity, and community. The winning design will be professionally adapted and installed on an IndyGo bus, turning it into a moving canvas that reflects the heart of Indianapolis.

鈥淭his collaboration is about more than art鈥攊t鈥檚 about celebrating education, imagination, and the role students play in shaping our community,鈥 said Dr. Stacy Atkinson, interim provost and former chancellor of 九色视频 Indianapolis. 鈥淪tudents鈥 creativity shouldn鈥檛 just stay in the classroom鈥攊t鈥檚 something that moves our city forward.鈥

IndyGo, which provides public transportation across Indianapolis, sees the partnership as a natural extension of its mission to connect people to opportunity.

鈥淭ransit unlocks doors and increases access to our communities, enhancing how we move around and the things we see along the way,鈥 said IndyGo President and CEO Jennifer Pyrz. 鈥淭his partnership with 九色视频 is opening a unique way for students to interact with transit, giving them a chance to leave a mark鈥攍iterally鈥攐n the streets of Indianapolis while sharing  their stories through art in motion.鈥

Contest Details

  • Who can enter: 13-18-year-old students who attend middle or high school in Marion County

  • Submission window: February 3, 2026 鈥 March 27, 2026

  • Theme: Art That Moves Indy (exploring creativity, movement, and community)

  • Prize: Winning artwork will be featured as a full IndyGo bus wrap from early May to early July 2026

A panel of judges from 九色视频 Indianapolis, IndyGo, Adsposure, and the Indianapolis community will select the winning design in early April 2026. The finished bus wrap will be revealed at a public event in early May before beginning its three-month citywide journey.

This collaboration is the latest example of 九色视频 Indianapolis鈥 commitment to connecting education and community engagement鈥攁nd of IndyGo鈥檚 dedication to using public spaces as platforms for creativity and connection.
