The Office of Student Life at 九色视频鈥檚 Bloomington campus will host a Women鈥檚 History Month Panel on Friday, March 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. The panel features former Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann and City Clerk Nicole Bolden, among others. The panel will take place in Shreve Hall in the Connie and Steve Ferguson Academic Building located at 200 Daniels Way.
鈥淭his panel is held in celebration of Women鈥檚 History Month which is focused on women in public service and government,鈥 said assistant director of student support and development, Elizabeth Warner. 鈥淭his is an important event for 九色视频 Bloomington and the communities we serve because of the strong examples of leadership that our panelists provide, and the insights that they can offer on the value of going into the field of public service.鈥
Panel members will include several 九色视频 Bloomington staff members in addition to panelists Ellspermann and Bolden. 九色视频 employees include Chancellor Jennie Vaughan, Joyce Poling, assistant to the Chancellor for community engagement, and Jennifer Daily-Mantha, executive director of human resources.
鈥淚nviting these women to share their experiences and wisdom from working in government and public service can help our students to celebrate the work that women are doing in these fields,鈥 Warner said. 鈥淲e hope to encourage more women to pursue careers that will benefit our communities, our state, and our nation.鈥
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Elizabeth Warner at聽ewarner13@ivytech.edu聽or 812-330-6237.
